As you already have read, we already love eggs and have a recipe for making the best boiled eggs in the history of humanity. Along with eggs, we also love a nice pair of crunchy, tasty bacon that can take our breakfasts to the ultimate level.

Both techniques might seem handy but generally are not that healthy, especially in the long run. For that reason, today we’re going to present you with a unique way to cook bacon without frying it in a pan or deep frying it in oil.

Introducing: the Ninja Air Fryer
Air frying is a novel technology that allows cooking at high temperatures by relying on a hot stream of air circulating in a closed environment. Think of it as being a convection oven that relies on a forced stream of hot air to cook food.
Per today.com: An air fryer is essentially a small, turbo-powered convection oven for your kitchen counter. While the air fryer has a removable basket like a deep fryer, instead of submerging the food into hot oil, the items in the basket are baked by the heat from air flowing around them.
Back to the matter at hand: Bacon
Cooking the bacon in the air dryer is ridiculously simple:
- Place a single layer of bacon in the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 350 and cook for 10 minutes.
- Check for crispness and cook 1-2 more minutes if needed.
- Drain bacon grease between batches
I personally prefer the Ninja Air Fryer that I got from Amazon – it’s one of the rarest products that has 5 stars out 5 with more than 1,200 reviews as of the date of this article
Post air-frying, the bacon looks like this:
As last notes, if you’re cooking multiple batches of bacon, make sure you always remove the excess grease that remains at the bottom of the air fryer, to avoid smoke coming out. That might trigger your smoke alarm if too much oil is still caught inside.
There you have it folks: air-fryed uber-awesome bacon! Let me know how you’ve done and feel free to share your experience here or on our Facebook page! Enjoy your breakfast!
